Welcome to the music page for school music at St. Joseph! If you have any questions about the following, please do not hesitate to email me at MissMillerMusic@gmail.com. I am looking forward to having a WONDERFUL year!
Donate To School Music! We are hoping to purchase some new instruments for the St. Joseph the Worker School’s music classroom! While the music room has many useful materials, our classroom is without a few essential instruments that most other elementary music classrooms have access to. Our hope is to be able to purchase a new keyboard (with stand and bench) and some sets of Orff Xylophones/Metallophones.

Show Your STAR Behavior At St. Joseph!
Throughout the year, students will be able to practice and show their STAR behavior in the music classroom! Whichever class shines the brightest each month (by collecting the most star stamps on their star cards) will be entered in a drawing that will take place in May for various prizes, including a pizza party!
What is STAR behavior?
Safety
Trial (and Error)
Attitude
Respect
Safety: Students are to practice personal safety at all times. This means that, especially during dancing, students are aware of themselves and their surroundings.
Trial (and Error): Students are to participate to the best of their ability. Students will not always be able to play, sing, dance, etc. perfectly the first time they try, but as long as they continue to participate, they will be doing just fine!
Attitude: Students are to keep a positive attitude throughout class each day. This will make learning so much more fun for everyone!
Respect: Students are to respect each other and each other's property, as well as the property of the school and Miss Miller. For example, please do not play an instrument while Miss Miller is giving directions (even though we know that it can be hard to hold still with one in your hands)!

Performance Reviews For Extra Credit!
Did you talk too much one day during class? Did you have to sit out from a dance because you were not being safe with the other students around you? Did you play an instrument during an inappropriate time?
Or (Miss Miller's favorite reason to get extra credit), do you want to attend a concert and receive extra credit for it?! :)
